Good Afternoon, and Welcome! In the middle of Newtownards, a busy marketing and industrial town, the local Baptist Church bears testimony to the commission of Christ to be a witness to and for the Glory of God.Our Baptist witness commenced in 1923 and met in a hall in Greenwell Street till, in 1965, our new building was opened in Frances Street, a main street of the town.A congregation of over 100 meet each Lord's Day for the ministry of God's Word. Our Pastor, Tom McLaughlin, commenced his Pastoral duties here in September 2004 and being a Newtownards-born man is very keen in reaching out to share the Christian message with our towns-folk.Situated in Frances Street the Baptist Church is very convenient to a very large Car Park and within walking distance from any of the town boundaries. In 1988 our spacious Church Halls, annexed to the church building, were designed for our youth programme and open into nearby Castle Place.
