Trevor & Christine Morrow
Trevor and Christine joined Ards Baptist in 1990. Two years later they travelled to Peru to work with Baptist Missions and they led a successful church plant in the town of Moquegua. In 1997 they moved to the port of Ilo and started a new work there which has continued to thrive until the present. In 2002 they felt challenged by the Lord to start another work in the town of Ite, about 35 minutes drive from Ilo. Spiritually it was a difficult area but again God has been working and a little group meets there each week. A few years ago a group of believers approached Trevor asking for his support to start another local church on the other side of Ilo. With Trevor’s help and encouragement the church was formed and has just celebrated its second anniversary, August 2015.
Trevor has also been responsible for planning and leading a major building project to set up a large Camp & Conference Centre at Ite. This work has resulted in many children and young people hearing the message of the Gospel and as a result quite a number have trusted Christ as their Saviour.
For a number of years now Christine has taught in a local school and has had many opportunities to witness to the other teachers and the children about her faith in the Lord Jesus.
They have two children, Rebecca and Andrew, both born in Peru. Rebecca has been studying at St Louis University, Missouri, since September 2014 and Andrew started at University of Ulster in Belfast September 2017.
In 2017, Trevor and Christine celebrated 25 years working in Peru for Baptist Missions.
