The Men’s fellowship meets periodically for different kinds of events.
Our last outing proved to be a very popular one, especially the sporting fans among us. Windsor Park Stadium home of the Northern Ireland Soccer team was the venue. We had a party of 19 in attendance. We had a most informative tour with our two guides, Ken and Bill. It was very interesting to get ‘behind the scenes’ of such a modern facility. Of all the ‘hands on’ activities taking actual penalty kicks towards a virtual screen complete with goalkeeper proved most popular.
We finished the night with light refreshments.
The next planned events are, God willing…
26th August, Games Night and B-B-Q at Corries farm. The epilogue will be in the form of an in-depth interview with our new pastor, Richard Donnan.
Saturday morning 17th September. Our annual men’s Conference and Breakfast with speaker Pastor Neil Watson (Ballycrochan Baptist Church). The important subject matter will be in two parts… 1. The Christian Husband; 2. The Christian Father. A full ‘Ulster Fry’ with all the trimmings will be served between the talks.
